UNOOSA
The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is the UN agency responsible for promoting international cooperation in the peaceful use and exploration of outer space. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, UNOOSA helps countries—especially developing nations—access space technology for sustainable development, disaster management, and environmental protection.
It supports the implementation of international space law, manages the UN Register of Objects Launched into Outer Space, and runs capacity-building programs like UN-SPIDER. UNOOSA also facilitates global access to space missions and promotes the use of space to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
